Jenny is looking for a one-of-a-kind special human. Jenny is an incredibly bright capable high-energy dog. She has a strong desire to please her human and she pays her keen attention. Jenny has the intellect, stamina, and drive to learn ANYTHING. This is why Jennys placement will be highly selective. Her adopter(s) should be knowledgeable in dog training and be devoted to nurturing her strengths and abilities. Jenny should be in a home where she is an only child. After one 45-minute training session, Jenny understands: Sit, Down, Off, Come, Wait, Heel, Fetch AND Release. Jennys focus is intensely on her human. She follows her movements, and looks into her eyes, ready for the next request. Jenny is a dog with a purpose, a drive to learn or serve. But, Jenny is not all work. She is very playful with other dogs and is even okay with dog-savvy cats; but she should be supervised closely because of her exuberant energy. Jenny also enjoys mountain hikes with her human and playing with TOYS. Jenny LOVES her toys! She has no food aggression, but she loves her toys more than food or treats, so if other dogs are around she should be monitored in case she exhibits possessiveness. Inside: Jenny is housetrained; she doesn't make a peep at night; she has been left unattended for short periods of time, and after scratching on the door a couple times she quickly settles down; and she is also crate trained. Outside: she sits before going out any door and before putting on her leash and she does not try to dig out of her fenced in yard. The only time she barks is when people come in the house.
